How it works

How RemoteHub works for you and the person at the PC

Sign up for Free, send a one-time link, and connect from any browser. The person at that Windows PC approves every session until they choose otherwise.

  • Free: 3 computers, 1 session
  • Two-factor on every plan
  • They see who is connecting

1. Start Free and turn on two-factor

A saved account, then an authenticator app

Sign up with Google or an email code. Free is personal use: 3 computers and one session at a time, no card. Before you add a computer, turn on two-factor sign-in. That is required on every plan, including Free.

2. Add a computer, yours or someone else's

One link. They do not need an account.

In the dashboard, click Add device. You get a one-time link that expires in 24 hours. Open it on that Windows PC, or send it to the person you help. They download one file, allow both Windows prompts, and the computer appears in your dashboard. Guest workspaces cannot create install links until they are saved.

3. Connect from any browser

Request access, then desktop, files or terminal

Click Request access next to an online computer. The person at the PC sees your name, email and workspace and has one minute to Accept or Decline. After they accept, the session opens in your browser. Switch to Files or Terminal from the session tabs.

4. Unattended access, if they allow it

They tick the box. They can take it back.

The Accept window has an unchecked box: let them connect without asking next time. That grant is only for you, on that one computer. Other people in a workspace still have to ask. The bar still appears during every session. They revoke it with Stop allowing, or from the RemoteHub access shortcut on the desktop and Start menu.

5. What the person at the PC controls

  • They see who is asking, from which workspace, and what you asked for (desktop, files or terminal).
  • They can Decline, or ignore the prompt for one minute.
  • While you are connected, they can turn off mouse, keyboard, clipboard or files, or end the session.
  • The RemoteHub access shortcut lists who can connect without asking, with Revoke, and recent connections.
  • Uninstalling RemoteHub from Windows Settings removes access completely.

Real support never calls out of the blue and asks for access. Every prompt links to report abuse.

6. Two-factor and safety

Two-factor sign-in is required before you add a computer or connect, on every plan. Install links need a verified email as well. That stops a stolen password from reaching someone else's PC, and it stops a guest workspace from sending installers.

RemoteHub will never call you and ask you to install the agent. Only accept a prompt from a person you asked for help. See how we keep computers safe.

Questions

Do I install anything on the computer I connect from?

No. You sign in and connect from Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Only the computer you want to reach installs the Windows agent.

How do I reach someone else's computer?

Add device gives you a one-time link. Send it to them. They open it, download one file, and allow the Windows prompts. They do not create an account.

Can they connect to my computers?

Only if you send them an install link from their own workspace, or you add them to yours later. Installing your agent on their PC does not give them access to yours.

Will they know when I connect?

Yes. Every connection asks them to Accept unless they have let you connect without asking. A bar on their screen always shows who is connected.

How do they stop unattended access?

Stop allowing on the session bar, or open the RemoteHub access shortcut on that PC and click Revoke. Uninstalling RemoteHub from Windows Settings removes it completely.
