Install the agent on Windows

Requirements

  • Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11, 64-bit
  • An administrator account for installation
  • Outbound HTTPS (TCP 443). UDP is recommended for direct connections.

Install

  1. On the computer you want to reach, sign in to your dashboard and click Add device.
  2. Download the installer. Its file name contains your one-time install code, for example RemoteHubSetup-ABCDE-FGHIJ.exe.
  3. Run it. When Windows asks for permission, check that the publisher is RemoteHub before clicking Yes.
  4. The installer adds the RemoteHub service, enrolls the computer with the code, and the device appears as Online on your dashboard.

Install codes work once and expire after 24 hours. If a code has expired, click Add device again for a new one.

Rename or remove a device

Use Remove on the dashboard to revoke a device. Its agent immediately stops accepting connections, and the slot is freed. Uninstall the agent from Settings → Apps on the computer to remove the software.

Windows editions

Home, Pro, Enterprise and Education editions are supported. On N editions, install the Media Feature Pack so hardware video encoding is available.
