Unattended access

Unattended access means you can connect to a computer without anyone there to accept the session. It is how every enrolled device works.

How it works

The agent runs as a Windows service that starts with the computer, before anyone signs in. It keeps a secure connection to RemoteHub and waits for an authorised session from your workspace.

Tips

• Keep the computer awake. In Windows power settings, set sleep to Never when plugged in, or allow the network adapter to wake the computer.
• Restart remotely. Restart the computer from the remote session; it reconnects automatically after Windows starts.
• Sign-in screen and admin prompts. The session follows the Windows secure desktop, so you can sign in and approve User Account Control prompts remotely.

Who can connect

Anyone in your workspace with the technician role or higher can connect, after passing two-factor sign-in. See the audit log for a record of every session.
